The TAC position is responsible for supervising the character development, discipline, housing, maintenance, safety, training, retention, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, health & welfare, and good order & discipline of Georgia Military College (GMC) college cadets. The position will also require performing other duties assigned by the Commandant of Cadets. This position assists the college in fulfilling the section of the GMC mission which calls on all concerned to “produce contributing citizen in an environment conducive to the holistic development of the intellect and character of its students.”
MAJOR DUTIES:
* Advise, assist and mentor all college cadets. * Coordinate, plan and ensure proper execution of all cadet training. * Plans, coordinates and supervises the execution of a quarterly major training exercise requiring overnight travel and the coordination of the Corps of Cadets’ logistics needs. * Plans, coordinates and ensures proper execution of all cadet ceremonies, to include Command Retreats, Parades, Grand Tattoo, and Honor Code signing ceremonies. * Supervises study hall and overall academic performance. * Supervises daily and weekend bullring (disciplinary service) and community service projects. * Other duties as assigned by the Commandant of Cadets. * Prior military experience is required.

First Sergeant Larry L. Swint
First Sergeant Larry L. Swint is a veteran career-Infantryman with twenty years of service in the U.S. Army. He has successfully served as Operations NCO, Drill Sergeant, and Company First Sergeant in a number of prestigious combat units, to include: the 2nd Infantry Division, 24th Infantry Division (Mechanized), and the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). First Sergeant Swint is the recipient of the Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Drill Sergeant Badge, and Air Assault Badge (Honor Graduate). From 1989 to 1991, he served on official assignment as a JROTC instructor at the Georgia Military College Prep School and is a 1991 graduate of Georgia Military College, where he received his Associate of Arts degree in Applied Science.
First Sergeant Swint has been a member of the GMC staff since 1995.

Second Lieutenant Jared D. Smith
2LT Jared D. Smith is a Seven-year veteran of the U.S. Army/Georgia Army National Guard, where he has served in the Enlisted Branch of Armor as a M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank Driver and Loader. After commissioning from Mercer University, 2LT Smith branched Field Artillery and serves in a Field Artillery unit as a Platoon Leader and Fire Direction Officer.
2LT Smith is a 2007 graduate of Georgia Military College, where he earned his A.S. in General Studies. While at Georgia Military College, 2LT Smith served as the Regimental Commander for the 128th Corps of Cadets. Upon completion, 2LT Smith received an ROTC Scholarship to Mercer University, where he earned his B.S. in Middle Grades Education with Concentrations in Social Studies and Science with a Minor in History in 2010.
2LT Smith has been a member of the GMC Staff since April 2011.
Staff Sergeant (P) Joseph P. Henao
Staff Sergeant (P) Joseph P. Henao is a fourteen-year veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served in several positions: Detailed Recruiter, Supply Sergeant, Training NCO, and Combat Engineer.
He has seen service with the 35th Signal Brigade, 555th Combat Engineer Group, Mid-Atlantic Recruiting Battalion, 841st Combat Engineer Battalion, and A Co, 323rd INF Regiment (BCT). SSG(P) Henao currently serves as a Drill Sergeant Candidate.
SSG Henao served in the 119th Corps of Cadets as a Company Commander for Bravo Company 4th Battalion. He participated on the Old Capital Guard Drill Team, Color Guard and Ranger Team. As a cadet, SSG(P) Henao did not receive a single hour of Bullring.
SSG Henao has been a member of the GMC Staff since September 2010.

Sergeant First Class Simon Ryan
Sergeant First Class Simon Ryan is a sixteen-year veteran of the British Army where he achieved the rank of Colour Sergeant (equivalent to SFC).
He has served with the Royal Green Jackets, a prestigious British infantry combat regiment also known as “The Rifles”. He has seen action in Iraq (Operation Desert Storm), Kosovo and Sierra Leone, both as part of the United Nations’ peacekeeping force. SFC Ryan has also worked as an instructor with the British Territorial Army and the Army Cadet Force, teaching military skills and discipline for cadets whose ages range from 12 to 25 years old.
SFC Ryan is noted for his motto, “Remember, there is no such thing as a stupid question--Only stupid answers”.
SFC Ryan has been a member of the GMC staff since October 2010.
Corporal Damian O. Brown
Corporal Damian O. Brown is a 4-yearof the United States Marine
Corps, where he served in Human Resources in several positions.
Brown completed recruit training at Marine Corps
Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C., in October 2011 and then continued his
training at the School of Infantry Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North
Carolina. After completing Marine Combat Training in Camp Lejeune, Corporal
Brown attended and completed the Marine Corps Administration School also
located in Camp Lejeune.
In 2002 Cpl. Brown was transferred to Marine Corps
Recruit Depot, Parris Island S.C., where he was directly involved in the
Recruit Training process.
Cpl. Brown is a 2010 graduate of Georgia Military College, where he received
his A.S. in General Studies.
Cpl. Brown has been a member of GMC Staff since February 2011.
